It's really nostalgic, how I used to be on the other end.. sitting down as a student and listening to our teacher explaining about energy and living matter. (Primary school science). Now, I've become the one who's teaching.
And when I tutored this kid who's really keen on learning and a natural at understand a science concept that's never been taught to him yet, I just recalled how fun learning used to be. Where it was just about curiosity and letting yourself explore, which is what education should really be honestly.
It's not supposed to be about grades, competitions or the number of Olympiad medals you can get. It's about getting that spark that pushes you on to know more.
Today was really unplanned and only happened because an old friend approached me for help. Perhaps the world is trying to remind me of something. Hmm.
